DWARKA : One of the principal piligrimages of Hinduism is at Dwarka. Legend is that Lord Krishna moved to this coastal town to set up a capital. Marine excavations off the Dwarka coast have revealed important evidences of tour ancient cities, which probably includes the Dwarawati of the Krishna Lila. Today, it is not only a major pilgrimage site but a pleasant spot for a beach holiday. The multi pillared sabha mandapa leads to a 60 pillared sanctum sanctorum that dates back 2500 years according to the scriptures.

In the evening visit Aarti ceremony at the Dwarkadish Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast we will once again visit the Dwarkadheesh Temple (JagatMandir). JagatMandir, with the presiding deity of Shri Krishna known as Dwarkadheesh .
  • Rukmani Temple The visit of Dwarka is not complete without a visit to Bet Dwarka, an island at a distance of 30 Kms.
  • Off the coast of Okha port, At Bet, there are temples of Vishnu (in the form of 'matsya'), Radha, Lakshmi, Satyabhama, Jambuvanti and Devaki. A ferry ride from Dwarka to the island of Bet near Okha makes a pleasant outing.
  • NageshwarMandir is a temple situated towards Okha dedicated to Lord Shiva and houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in an underground chamber. We will then visit Gomati Village, Gomati Talav and Gomati Mandir.
Overnight stay at Dwarka .
Porbandar - En route leave for Porbandar . Visit the Sudamapuri Temple associated with a popular tale of Krishna and his dear friend Sudama, KirtiMandir the three storey house where Gandhiji was born in 1869. Also visit Bharat Mandir .
Somnath - Somnath Temple for followers of both Shiva and Vishnu. The most important temple and main highlight in Somnath is the Kailash temple with its imposing architecture, a 50-meter high tower, intricate carvings and a number of holy idols and images.
After performing the evening Aarti and after witnessing the Sound & Light Show we will then visit the beach of Somnath which is very beautiful & a captivating sight to behold. The fresh blue waters, humming waves and the cool sands give you a feeling of having landed in a paradise. The beach has pleasant sands, great sea views, camel and pony rides, coconut stalls and snack places.
We will then give free time to the tourists for relaxation or moving around Veraval town on their own. Late in the evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Somnath.
St.Paul's church : The Church adorned with curiously treated volutes & shell-like motifs and the magnificient wood carving is considered to be the most elaborate ofall the Portugese churches in India.
St.Thomas Church Museum : A hunge edifice in gothic architecture was built in 1598. A part of it has been converted into a museum an Archeological treasure house.
Diu Fort : This majestic structure stands onthe coast of Diu sentinel. Onceinside, you are overwhelmed by the gaunt majesty of the ancient stone workwhich transports you to a bygone era of gallant soldiers where time stands still.
Nagoa beach : The Nagoa beach is exceptionally beautiful & quiet. In the exceptionally beautiful horse-shoe(semicircular) shaped beach. Overnight Diu.
GIR - Is the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can beseen in his natural habitat. The forest also harbours a variety of smalleranimals & birds. Other predators. are Panther & the Hyena. The Indian Deer,Sambar, Spotted deer, Blue bull, Chinkara & the Chowsingha (four hornedantelope) are found here, alongwith the bear & the long tailed langur. ( Afternoon safari Optional)
Overnight Sasangir.
Today after breakfast proceed to Rajkot enroute visiting Junagarh , Gondal and Virpur.
Junagadh is situated in the Saurashtra region at the foot of the temple-studded Mount Girnar, on the northern fringes of the Gir forest. The city takes its name from the fort that enclosed the medieval town. Visit Forts, Ashoka Rock Edicts and Maqbara.
JALARAM BAPA TEMPLE-VIRPUR : Bhakta's full name was Jalaram Pradhan Thakkar. He was born in the town of Virpur near Rajkot, Gujarat state of India. His mother was Rajbai Thakkar who was very religious and was told by saint Raghuvirdasji, that her second son Jalaram would be a famous advocate of duty and become a preacher of love and peace. Jalaram got his early education from his mother. From her he learnt respect, patience, self respect, duty, and grace. When he was young he was divinely inspired and constantly chanted 'Sita Ram' and wanted to devote his life to God. Gondal - Naulakha palace, it is a festival of stone carvings with balconies. It gift for Maharaja Bhagwat Sinh ji on his silver jubilee as ruler of Gondal. Visit of vintage car collection, have a collection of several vintage and classical cars including a 1910 new engine with so many imposing American cars of the 1940s.

Today after breakfast sightseeing of Rajkot later drive to Rajkot.

Kaba Gandhi no Delo : Gandhiji’s ancestral home which now houses the Gandhi Smriti, a permanent exhibition.
Watson Museum & Library : Located in the pleasant Jubilee Garden, the museum is a good introduction to Saurashtra’s cultural heritage.
Check in at hotel evening safari in Little Rann of Kutch . The Little Rann of Kutch: The highlight of this sanctuary is the Asiatic Wild Ass or 'Gudkhur' that is endemic to the region & is one of the most endangered species in the world. Other mammals that could be seen are nilgai, black buck antelope, chinkara gazelle, Indian wolf, Indian desert foxes, jackals & lesser cats. Also is a paradise for bird watchers. The key dryland birds are McQueen's houbara bustard, chestnut bellied & spotted sand grouse, Indian courser, 13 species of larks & sparrow larks, 5 of quails (including buttonquails), thick-knee, desert warbler, desert & variable wheatear, aquila eagles, short toed snake eagle, six species of falcon & three harriers. Five species of vulture have been recorded. Apart from all these you can hope to see greater & lesser flamingo, three species of pelican, spoonbill, demoiselle & common cranes, and a number of ducks in flocks of several thousand during winters. Today After breakfast proceed to ahmedabad enorute visiting Sun Temple at Modhera and Stepwell at Patan.
After breakfast drive to Dasada enroute visiting , Modhera Sun Temple & Patan.
Modhera: The Sun temple of Modhera is one of the finest examples of Indian architecture of its period. Built in 1026 A.D. the temple is dedicated to the Sun-God, Surya and stands high on a plinth overlooking a deep stone-steeped tank. Every inch of the edifice, both inside and outside is magnificently carved with Gods and Goddesses, birds, beasts and flowers. Sun Temple of Modhera was built by King Bhimdev I (1026-27) and bears some resemblance to the later and far better known, Sun Temple of Konark in the state of Orissa, which it predates by some 200 years. Like that temple, it was designed so that the dawn sun shone on the image of Surya, the sun God, at the time of the equinoxes. The main hall and shrine are reached through a pillared porch and the temple exterior is intricately and delicately carved. As with the temple of Somnath, this fine temple was ruined by Mohamed of Ghazni.
Patan: Home of the famous patola silk saris, Patan is a beautiful old town with Jain temples and carved wooden houses. Rani Ki vav (step well) is an excellent example of subterranean architecture of Gujarat. The exclusively carved side walls, pillars, beams, series of steps & platforms lead to the elaborately carved water well. Every surface is adorned with finely chiseled sculptures of maidens & Hindu deities, religious motifs & geometrical patterns.
Drive to Ahmedabad

Early morning proceed for sightseeing of the city which starts with heritage walk in the old town.
the best way to learn about a city is through friends who know the place, but here in Ahmedabad, you can get to know the city and its intricacies even as a stranger. You have at least two options for taking a guided Heritage Walk around the old city of Ahmedabad.
The tour begins at 8am at theSwaminarayan Mandir in Kalupur with a slideshow. It takes you through various pols,havelis, Hindu and Jain temples, various sites including the famous Manek Chowk, and ends at the soulful Jama Masjid at the center of the city at 10:30am.
PLACES TO VISIT
• Gandhi Ashram : On a quiet peaceful stretch of the Sabarmati river, Mahatma Gandhi set up a simple retreat in 1915. This was his Satyagrah Ashram and for many years it was the nerve centre of India’s freedom movement. It was from here, in 1930, that Mahatma began his famous Dandi March to the sea to protest against the Salt Tax imposed by the British. Hridaya Kunj, the simple cottage where he lived, is now a national monument and preserved as it was during the Mahatma’s life-time.
• Sidi Sayed Mosque : One part of the wall in the old citadel of the mosque built by Ahmed Shah’s slave, Sidi Sayed, is celebrated the world over for its exquisite stone window tracery – a superb & peerless example of delicate carving that transforms stone into filigree.
• Teen Darwaja : The triple-arched gateway was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah to serve as the royal entrance to the Maidan Shahi or the Royal Square. It is in an imposing monument of perfect proportions & highly ornate buttresses.
• Hutheesingh Jain Temple : Built outside the Delhi Gate in 1850 by a rich Jain merchant, the Hutheesing Temple is the best known of Ahmedabad’s many ornate Jain temples.
• Adalaj Step-well : It is situated 17kms north of Ahmedabad. The step well at the village of Adalaj is another fine example of this magnificent architectural form. Adalaj Vav is richly carved, every pillar and wall surface covered with leaves and flowers, birds and fishes and friezes of ornamental designs.

Sayaji Bagh (Baroda Museum) Popularly know as kamati baug, the garden is the heartthrob of the city. It Was built bysayajirao iii in 1879 a.d. a purpose built museum in sayaji Baug between 1887 and 1894, itwas shortly joined by its sister " the Picture gallery " (1908 - 1914) the collection of indianminiatures, Sculpture, textiles, objects from japan, tibet and nepal, indian and Foreign coins,wide array of items of study of science and natural history Earns for this museum a place ofits own. The upper floor of the museum Building contains a section on natural history,ethnology and geology while the upper floor of the gallery building contains europeanpaintings. The Ethnology section features the costumes and utensils of gujarati tribes.
Laxmi Villas Palace Reputed as one of the most expensive buildings built in the 19th century, the elaboratelydesigned Laxmi Villas Palace presents a fine example of the excellence of Indo-Saracenicarchitectural styles. It has carved cedar ceilings, a silver throne and Italian mosaic. Outsideare three pleasant courtyards filled with palms, European statuary, Italian marble and stainedglass. The palace also offers a huge collection of armor and sculptures that narrate the tales of a glorious ancient past. Visit to the palace is strictly on the permission from the Office ofgaekwad.
Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum This is the royal collection of art treasures of old masters like Raphael, Titian and Murillo aswell as modern western and Indian painting; Greco-Roman exhibits, Chinese and Japaneseart: and a large collection of contemporary Indian art.
